The Developmental Assessment Process: An Overview of Psychological Testing in the Private Sector

Learn about the seven different roles a psychologist is qualified to provide and the inner-workings of the evaluation process.  Learn which test batteries are best suited for looking at specific areas of development and diagnosis including development, school readiness, academic ability, learning strengths and weaknesses, mood, and behavior.  Understand the intricacies of the neuropsychological assessment process and why looks can be deceiving.  Finally, gain an appreciation for the complexity of human behavior; for the fact that strengths and weaknesses often cluster and do not exist in isolation; and why test batteries that "screen out" disabilities can be highly deceiving.
